Conceived as a platform for stakeholder dialogue and engagement, the MPTF Office oversees a yearly UN Multi-Stakeholder Discussion Forum on Pooled Financing. Established in 2019 at the request of the UNDP Executive Board, the forum follows recommendations from an independent evaluation of inter-agency pooled funds in September 2018.
Conversations about pooled funds are more relevant now than ever and the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. António Guterres, has called for pooled financing to be doubled as part of the UN development system reform and repositioning process.
Not only is an increase in quality pooled investments necessary for SDG and 2030 Agenda achievement, but they are an excellent vehicle for sharing best practices and lessons learned on blended funding. Just as important: They are a critical component for supporting United Nations humanitarian and peacebuilding action around the world.

The 2022 Forum took place on 11 November 2022
